He saw me. Just as He saw the woman at the well.
Be’era was not born from a business plan, a dream of owning land, or even a desire to start an organization.
It was born from a sovereign “No” from God.
In a season of deep brokenness, extreme grief, sorrow, and questions I could not find answers to, God met me in a way I had never experienced before. In the midst of my sadness, when my heart was hurting beyond what words could express, I felt His love unlike anything I had ever known.
Never had I ever felt more loved than in that moment.
He saw me.
Just as Jesus saw the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4. He knew her story. He knew her pain. He knew everything about her, and yet He met her right where she was.
And in my brokenness and extreme grief, He met me too.
What began as a season of sorrow became a journey of surrender, faith, and learning to trust God even when His answer was not the one I had prayed for.
Out of that encounter, the vision for Be’era — The Well — began to take shape.
A place where others could be seen. Where families could be strengthened. Where children could be taught, the hungry could be fed, and those walking through difficult seasons could experience the love of Christ through the hands and hearts of others.
Today, that vision is growing through Our Promised Land Farm, our schoolhouse, and our desire to serve the surrounding community.
We are not building Be’era because life has been easy or because we have everything figured out.
We are building it in faith, with grateful hearts, because we know what it means to be met by God’s love when we need it most.
Our prayer is that everything we do points back to Him.
To serve others. To teach others. To feed others.
Because He first loved us.
